Ane Brun

Songwriter, guitarist and vocalist

Ane Brun, Norwegian singer and songwriter living in Oslo. Since her debut with Spending Time With Morgan in 2003, her songs, e.g. Humming one of your songs and A temporary dive, have become modern indie classics. Ane Brun has sold gold and platinum. Through her personal interpretations of pop songs such as Beyonce's Halo and Alphaville's Big in Japan, she has achieved iconic status.

She has collaborated with great artists such as Ron Sexsmith, Peter Gabriel and Vince Clarke. Ane has released seven studio albums, three live albums and the two collections Songs 2003 and Rarities. During the pandemic 2020 she released the two acclaimed albums After The Great Storm and How Beauty Holds The Hand Of Sorrow. For these, she was awarded 2021 Grammys for Alternative Pop of the Year and Composer of the Year, as well as the Music Publishers' Award for both Lyricist of the Year and Composer of the Year. In 2021, she also received the Bo Bringborn Memorial Prize for individual creativity, for "her ever-changing artistic work and musical development”

Ane releases records on her own company Balloon Ranger Recordings as it is important for her to have the last and only word when it comes to her career.
