Kristoffer Töyrä is a young, exceptionally talented bass-baritone from Tornedalen, educated at Folkhögskolan in Framnäs and at the Academy of Music in Piteå. His fantastic voice and natural technique has given him roles such as Colline in La Bohème, The host in Herr Arnes Penningar and Wilhelm in Les contes d'Hoffman and more at the Göteborg Opera. Kristoffer appeared as Sir Reginald in the newly written opera Herr Arnes Penningar at Folkoperan in fall 2024. In 2025 he appeared as the Bonze in Madama Butterfly at Göteborg Opera and as Seneca in L’incoronazione di Poppea at Vattnäs Konsertlada.
He often sings at churches such as the Gothenburg Cathedral, for example as a bass soloist in Handel’s Messiah and in Bach’s oratorios. In summer 2023 he made an acclaimed performance at the Chamber Music Festival in Vattnäs Konsertlada with Schubert's Winterreise and Swedish lieder by Ture Rangström.
