Richard Laby received his Master's degree in Opera from the Stockholm Opera Academy in 2012. There he sang the roles of Michele in Il Tabarro and Belcore in L’elisir d’amore. He has performed at Tivoli in Copenhagen, the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, the Royal Swedish Opera, Opera på Skäret, Vattnäs Konsertlada, Folkoperan, Gävle Konserthus, Värmland Opera and Malmö Opera. He has also taken masterclasses with Barbara Bonney, Craig Ruthenberg, Helena Döse, Rudolf Pernay, Paul Ferrington, David L. Jones, Anna Simms and Jeffrey Goldberg, amongst others. Furthermore, in 2012 Richard received the Wall Scholarship.
