Carina Söderman

Carina Söderman has been an actor and musical artist since 1986, when she made her professional debut in the Riksteatern's production Stop the world, I want to get off. Since then she has performed roles such as Ulrika in Västergöhl in Kristina from Duvemåla at Malmö Opera, Cirkus and the Göteborg Opera.
At the Göteborg Opera, Carina has also performed the role of Lady Fowl in Mary Poppins, Madame Renaud in La Cage aux Folles as well as appearing in Crazy for You, Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame – the musical and Jultraditrion. For four Christmases, she also played Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.

At the Östgöteatern, Carina played the role of Alice Beineke in the European premiere of The Addams Family in 2012. In the same house, she later played the Abbess in Sound of Music.

At Säffleoperan she has played the role of Miss Hannigan in Annie, at Malmö Opera she has performed the roles of Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Olga in Så som i himmelen and appeared in Funny Girl.

Furthermore, she has participated in productions at Borås City Theater, Skillinge Teater, guest-starred at Kulturhuset City Theater, Folkteatern in Gothenburg, Helsingborg City Theatre, Gothenburg City Theater and Småland's music and theater in roles such as Lena in Lena och Percy Präriehund by Jonas Gardell and Claire in Les Bonnes by Jean Genet. She has also toured with 123 SCHTUNK as Sonja in their version of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. In the spring of 2024, she played the role of the Mother in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama comedy Rabbit Hole at Teater Trixter.

On television, Carina Söderman has been seen in Poliser, Svaleskär and Olycksfågeln. In cinema, she has played the role of Rakel in the film Cockpit and in the animated film Märta Proppmätt, she voices the title role.
