Mirja Burlin most recently directed Frihetens namn (The Name of Freedom) with music composed by Andrea Tarrodi at Stockholm Music Theater in the autumn of 2021. Previously she has, among other things, directed Swedish Radio's Christmas Calendar 2018 (Tonje in Glimmerdalen), which was nominated for best production at Nordic Kids Media Festival. She has written and participated in several productions in different theaters and concert halls, including Gothenburg City Theater and Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. For the summer theater in Bohuslän she has directed Tartuffe and is currently the scriptwriter and director for the summer production of 2022; the musical Bohuslän Stories.
Mirja Burlin is a recurring voice in Tankar för Dagen (Thoughts for the day) a program that gives Swedish Radio’s listeners a moment of reflection. This autumn she will be seen as actress in the children detective story feature film Lasse Maja och skorpionens gåta (Lasse Maja and the mystery of scorpion) playing in movie theatres and as musical artist in Cabaret at the Gothenburg Opera.
