Sofia Winiarski is educated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Since her master's degree in 2022, she has quickly established herself as a sought-after guest with several Swedish orchestras, including the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, the Gävle Symphony Orchestra and the The Band of the Royal Swedish Army.
During season 2023/24 are debuts with the Nordic Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2022 Sofia conducted Bellini's Norma at Folkoperan in Stockholm, where she will return in 2024 as musical director of the operetta The White Horse Inn.
Sofia is often praised for her energy, her expressive gestures and her charisma. She has a solid musical background as an organist and accordion player. Before music took over as a full-time job, she studied at Stockholm School of Economics and HEC in Paris, which resulted in work at the UN's World Food Program in Rome and the Swedish UN representation in New York.
