Kristian Lindroos holds a Master’s degree from the Sibelius Academy’s singing department in Helsinki. Lindroos has also studied with Sherman Lowe, Jaakko Ryhänen and Irina Gavrilovici and completed the 'Accademia del bel canto ”Rodolfo Celletti” program in Martina Franca, Italy.
Kristian has been part of the soloist ensemble at the Göteborg Opera since season 2023/2024, where he has performed the roles of Masetto in Don Giovanni, Satyr/Cithéron in Platée, as well as Zuniga and Escamillo in Carmen, amongst other roles.
He has an extensive opera, concert and oratorio repertoire with roles and works that range from contemporary to baroque music. His leading roles include Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and Belcore in L’elisir d’amore.
He has performed on stages such as Maggio Fiorentino in Florence, the Festival della valle d’Itria - the opera festival in Martina Franca, the Finnish National Opera and the Savonlinna Opera Festival. Furthermore, he is a frequent soloist with Finland’s major orchestras with works such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the Matthew Passion, under the direction of conductors such as Sir Roger Norrington, Leif Segerstam, Hannu Lintu, Susanna Mälkki and Santtu–Matias Rouvali.
In 2016, Lindroos won first prize in the Villmanstrand singing competition and the Oskar Merikanto competition in 2022. In 2015, he was awarded the special prize at the international singing competition 'Toti dal Monte' in Treviso, Italy.
