School holidays at the Opera

If you are curious about singing, music, dance and theater can take the chance to discover more. You can participate and experience, inspire and be inspired, develop what you know or learn something new. Here there are experiences for all ages - always in the spirit of participation based on the current repertoire.

Autumn holidays

25 October – 3 November 2024

During the Autumn holidays, younger audiences (5–10 year olds) and families can be part of the test audience for the mini-opera Hillary the Witch Visits the Opera which will premiere in January, or if you’re older (15–25) and have some dance experience, register to try some contemporary dance together with dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. February break and Open House

8–16 February 2025

During the February break, we welcome the Youth Biennale (Ungdomsbiennalen) back with a new performance that they wrote together with the Gothenburg Opera and teachers from Kulturskolan. We also offer workshops and other activities. On 12 February, you can visit the Open House.

Easter holidays

11–17 April 2025

There is a lot going on at the Opera over the Easter break. Among other things, you can experience Ego, a stage performance by and with Gothenburg Opera's Youth Choir, which consists of singers between the ages of 12 and 25.
