Curious about contemporary dance? Join us for an introductory session with dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.
Dance Workshop for ages 13–25
Morning, approximately 1 hour
Choreographer Mari Carrasco has created numerous dance works for young adults. Later this spring, on May 8, her new performance Little Concert will premiere during GöteborgsOperans Dance Festival. Dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani have already started working on the production, and during this workshop, you’ll also get to explore Mari Carrasco’s unique “movement language.”
The workshop is led by dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. No prior experience required.

Family Dance: For ages 5–12 (and an accompanying adult)
Afternoon, approximately 1 hour
A playful dance session filled with movement and imagination. The family dance is led by dancers from GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. No prior experience required.

Open house
12 February
During the February break, we’ll open up the opera house to inquisitive children and their accompanying grown-ups. Expect plenty of fun activities related to things going on at our opera house. Admission is free to all activities. You’ll need a ticket for some of them.

Youth Bienniale: A Midsummer Night's Dream

The Youth Bienniale, part of Kulturskolan, stages its own performance on the Small Stage every second year. This year’s production is A Midsummer Night’s Dream, created and performed by the young participants themselves.

There is a lot going on at the Opera over the Easter break. Among other things, you can experience Ego, a stage performance by and with Gothenburg Opera's Youth Choir, with singers from 12 to 25 years old.
